Reviews are the new word of mouth — except they work 24/7 and everyone sees them. The problem: happy clients stay silent, unhappy ones write. The solution is a SYSTEM, not luck.
When to ask (timing is everything)
At the moment of peak satisfaction: right after delivery, right after a problem is solved, right after the client thanks you. Not two weeks later — the enthusiasm has evaporated.
How to ask (without begging)
- Direct and easy — It means a lot to us: one Google rating, it takes 30 seconds — plus a DIRECT link (not find us on Google)
- Automated — an email 2-3 days after delivery or a finished job, with the link; stores can do this hands-free
- A QR code on the receipt, invoice or business card — works wonders for physical businesses
What about bad reviews
Reply FAST, calmly and concretely: an apology if you erred, plus what you are doing to fix it. A future client reading how you handle a problem trusts you MORE than ten perfect five-stars. Never argue publicly.
What never to do
Bought or fake reviews — platforms detect and punish them, and one exposed fake costs more than a hundred real ones. And do not offer a discount for 5 stars — that is visible manipulation.
Where to use them
The best quotes: on the homepage, on service pages, in proposals. A review with a name and a face is the strongest sales copy you never wrote.
