You can have the fastest hosting and the nicest design, but if the copy does not convince, the visitor leaves. The good news: sales writing is not talent but a few rules anyone can apply.
1. Talk about them, not you
We are a leading company with 10 years of experience — nobody cares. Your site will be ready in 2 weeks without us chasing you for materials — that solves their worry. Every paragraph should answer what do I get?
2. Clear beats clever
Not holistic digital solutions but we build sites and stores. The visitor must grasp your offer in 3 seconds.
3. Benefits, not features
Feature: NVMe drives. Benefit: your site loads in 1 second so customers do not leave. People buy what features mean for them.
4. One clear call to action
Each page should lead to one action. Five options mean none chosen.
5. Prove you are not lying
- Real portfolio · named testimonials · concrete numbers · clear prices or at least a range — silence breeds doubt
6. Write like you speak
Read it aloud. If it sounds stiff or lawyer-written, redo it. People buy from people.
7. Short sentences, short paragraphs
Nobody reads walls of text, especially on a phone. Subheads, bullets, breathing room.
A final test
Read your home page as a stranger a friend referred. In 10 seconds do you understand what they offer, why them, and what to do? If not, fix that first.
