You wrote a good post. These ten minutes decide whether anyone finds it. The checklist we use ourselves.
1. One main keyword
Decide WHICH term you are writing for. It belongs in: the title, the first paragraph, one subheading, and the address. Naturally — not 15 times; that is spam and Google knows it.
2. The title (up to 60 characters)
Keyword near the front if possible. This is the link people see in Google — promise a concrete benefit, do not be mysterious.
3. Meta description (up to 155 characters)
The Meta description field in Yoast or Rank Math. This is the ad under the title in results: what the reader gets plus a nudge. It does not directly affect rank, but it decides the click.
4. The address (permalink)
Short, with the keyword, no stop words. Edit it BEFORE publishing — changing it later needs a 301.
5. Subheadings H2/H3
Every 150-200 words. Google reads them for structure; readers use them to scan.
6. Internal links (most underrated)
2-3 links to your own pages: the relevant service, a related post, contact. This keeps the visitor and passes weight to the pages that sell.
7. Images with alt text
A 1200×630 featured image, compressed, alt text that describes. Google Images is traffic everyone forgets.
8. Sensible length
600-1200 words for most topics. There is no magic number — there is a rule: answer the question fully and stop.
9. Check on mobile
Preview → mobile. The majority will read it exactly there.
10. After publishing
Search Console → Request indexing · share it · and in a month check which terms it appears for — sometimes Google finds you for something you never planned, and that is your next topic.
