You send dozens of emails a day — to customers, suppliers, partners. Each ends with… a name, or nothing. That space is free advertising you miss every time.
What a good signature contains
- Name and role
- Company and logo — a small, tidy logo builds recognition
- Phone — a direct path to a call
- Website — a link bringing visitors on every email
- Address if relevant
Optional but helpful
- Social buttons (tidy, not ten icons) · a current offer · hours if relevant
Common mistakes
- Oversized images that break on a phone
- Too much info — keep it clean
- Images that do not load — keep key data as text too
- A different signature per employee — agree on one format
Why it matters more than it looks
Five employees sending 20 emails a day is 100 small ads for your brand daily — 2,000 a month. A signature with a site link brings real visitors. The cheapest marketing there is.
Tip for consistency
Make one signature template for the whole company, changing only name and role.
